slave chores

These are the chores that all slaves when in the hall will follow, remember unless in service a slave is not to be idle ever. check the list often as they will be updated as needed.   There are no exceptions. All  chores are to be gone over every time you check in to make sure each one is completed, never assume another was in and did them.














Kitchen

Remember slaves do not eat Free food or Drink not even scraps, unless it handed to them directly from a Free Person.

1. wash, dry and places all dirty vessels

2. scrub down counters

3. scrub floors

4. begin the days meal, or snacks for the Free

5. check fires and keep going, be sure there is a supply of dry dung near the hearth

6. make sure there is fresh breads prepped and made

7. bring in veggies for the days stews and prepare them

8. be sure kettles are full and on for warmed water

9.  make sure all kegs are full, being sure empties are put in storage and a  full on stand by if needed.



Household

1. straighte up the hall 

2. sweep floors and rescatter fresh greens along it

3. stoke  fires and besure there is dung available for it

4. scrub all tables and benches

5. shake all empty furs out, outside before replacing them on the floor

6. make sure all seats for guest have horns and tankards available

7. be sure there are bowls and clean towels to offer all who enter to be able with wash their hands and faces.


Sleeping areas

1.  Shake out all sleeping furs in the Fm's alcoves, clean and replace as needed

2.  scrub floors in all alcoves

Private chambers

1.  shakes out all furs wash and replace as needed

2.  scrub floors 

3. check, bank all fires refill the dung as needed

4. dust down and straighten each room

Laundry

1.  wash all clothing and linens as needed hang out

2.  mend and repair  all clothing as needed

Kennels

1.  all kennels are to be emptied daily scrubbed and aired out

2.  all kennels are to be scrubbed  every day

3.  all furs are to be takes out side and shaken out before being replaced

4.  benches for the free are to be scrubbed daily

5.  teaching furs to be shaken and aired daily

6.  floors to be swept and cleaned daily
