All serves in the North are "Har-ta", meaning quickly!

The challenge of the Northern serve is with all of these items and details in mind, keeping it short and concise, yet also keeping it enticing to the Men. Serve swiftly, efficiently and beautifully, in a timely manner. Keep the Jarls wanting more!

Describe your movements, your surroundings as you make your way to His left side. Serving from the left leaves the weapon arm of the Jarl free, so serve from the left unless commanded otherwise by Him. Here you can press yourself into His back, or arm, or stand beautifully near Him and ask if He wishes refreshment.

Once service has been accepted, lean forward and lift the drinking horn from the table. The horns are always ready and waiting on the tables. When a Jarl enters and takes a seat, there is a horn at that setting, ready.

After the Jarl has taken His horn, you are free to serve Others, unless He requests that you remain there with Him. It is not uncommon to see a bond-maid swatted on the ass and sent laughing to the next Jarl, to serve Him similarly.

But be creative! Make each serve unique. With one Jarl you might crawl into His lap and serve, the next kneel on the table infront of Him serving, then another you may stand beautifully beside Him, letting Him take in your nude features.

As said before, while serving in the North a slave is allowed to greet, speak with, and respectfully interact with, others. This includes greetings new Jarls and Mistresses as they enter, as well as bantering and socializing. The conversations and atmosphere of the Lodge are not stopped, simply because a slave is serving. Once all the Jarls are served, continue to watch Them. As you see Them drinking and enjoying Their refreshment, occasionally move to Them and offer refills.

If you are the only slave serving and there are multiple Jarls in the room, serve by rank. Begin with either your personal Owner, or The Jarl of the room and move down the "rank structure" - This should be structured after the proper Greeting Order.

- There is no need to check the vessels for flaws. (To do so would be to imply a Jarl would have less than acceptable vessels in His Home) There is no need to taste the beverage. (once again, to do so would be implying that He has less than acceptable supplies)

Because this is the cold north, there is no indoor "cold room". Anything that needs to be kept cold is stored in outdoor storage sheds. This includes chilled ka-la-na, cheeses, milk, etc.
